It’s truly a victorious and emotional night for VIPs the fandom of iKON’s legendary seniors BigBang as the group held its final Concert for LAST DANCE IN SEOUL – the last Concert before their enlistment – and in the midst of them, shoulder to shoulder with VIPs was iKON, stepping away for a while from their CB preparations to be a part of this moment.
Like so many other idol groups, iKON are VIPs. Since their Pre-Debut days, iKON have taken advantage of every opportunity to attend BigBang Concerts religiously where they always join the audience and can be seen either watching intensely, dancing or being awed like any other fan.
Congratulations to Big Bang the undefeated Kings of Kpop as they round up this final concert knowing the entire country and all their fans will wait for them as always.
iKON is currently preparing for a January Come Back and iKONICs are eagerly waiting for a Come Back date from YGE.
Japanese entertainment portal Real Sound published an article on YGE’s presence in the Japanese concert scene and YGE artists’ skill in attracting concertgoers. They revealed that YGE has managed to gather over 2 million concert attendees in 2017 thanks to BIGBANG and iKON. We are extremely proud of iKON and their continuous progress as they have jumped from 341,000 attendees in 2016 to 463,000 in 2017. With BIGBANG enlisting in 2018, the bulk of concert burden will fall on iKON and we certainty hope their company will provide them with the support they rightfully deserve.

YG Entertainment artists, more than 2 million concert attendees; the secret to BIGBANG, iKON, etc. ability to attract fans
By Mori Tomoyuki
In Nikkei Entertainment!’s December issue, they released their 2017 Concert Attendee Ranking. Four artists from BIGBANG’s company, YG Entertainment, were in the top 50. With BIGBANG (2nd/1.022 million people/20 shows), iKON (12th/463,000 people/33 shows), D-LITE (30th/273,000 people/43 shows), G-DRAGON (34th/259,000 people/5 shows), YG Entertainment was able to surpass 2 million attendees altogether. On the same chart last year, BIGBANG was first (1.859 million people/60 shows) and iKON was 20th (341,000 people/30 shows), but that number held firm in 2017 as well. The popularity of YG Entertainment artists isn’t a one-time fad; it could be said that their popularity completely permeates the industry even now.
iKON had their first Japan dome tour, iKON JAPAN DOME TOUR 2017 in September. A foreign (relative to Japan) artist having a dome tour in Japan 1 year and 9 months after debut is the fastest in history. With their trendy hip hop and electro sound, colorful fashion sense, and perfect fusion of each member’s skills on stage, there is no doubt that they can be called the first batters post-BIGBANG.
YG Entertainment artists have cutting edge hip hop, electro, and bass music that meet global standards, vivid and catchy fashion, and also high vocal and dance skills. It is possible that their ability to draw in fans in 2018 and beyond will get even higher.
iKON’s official Instagram account withikonic posted a heartwarming photo of the boys having dinner with Big Bang’s Kang Daesung after they all performed today at Japan’s A-Nation festival.
Both Daesung and iKON are known for being extremely successful in Japan which was just emphasized by their marvelous performances in one of the biggest summer festivals in Japan.
This is not the first time Daesung and iKON have shared a stage as June, Jinhwan and Donghyunk went as audience support for Deasung on an episode of Fantastic Duo 2, for which the famous BigBang crooner ended up being the overall winner.
