With less than a week to go before it’s release, YGE posted a gorgeous concept teaser for the New Kids Repackage. In this delight of a video we get to appreciate iKON’s flawless visuals, with some very interesting music in the background. Watch it below:
YG Entertaiment has already clarified the repackage will not be promoted, but the title track, I’M OK, will have a music video to be released, along with the online album, on January 7th at 6PM KST. The offline release of the album will be on the next day.
Both iKONICs and iKON will be busy at the beginning of the new year, hopefully this means more good things to come in 2019! Let’s work hard for this new release and keep supporting iKON as best as we can. Check out our tutorials to find out how to help.
At last the details for iKON’s repackaged album have been released by YG Entertainment!
The repackage album comes with a new release title track called “I’m Ok” which is as the fandom expected since the boys have been obliging enough to spoil it for us weeks ago!
The “I’m Ok” announcement was accompanied by a moody and grainy black and white poster featuring the boys in suits posed around a black vintage car and giving off an extremely classy feel. The gorgeousness of the boys have iKONICs asking themselves if they are, in fact, indeed ok.
Interestingly, seeing that the image is located in a tunnel answered one of this year’s fandom mysteries concerning a missing MV with scenes from a tunnel based off posts made by Donghyuk in March. Actually the boys must have been pretty anxious to share this track and MV as they have been providing us with spoilers for months!
Details for the album:
Online Album Release : 2019.01.07
Offline Album Release : 2019.01.08
It looks like iKONICs will be starting 2019 well.
On Dec 23, a mere week till the formerly confirmed date of Dec 31st for the release of iKON’s New Kids Series Repackaged album, YGE has announced a reschedule.
YGE has cited “distribution” problems and apparently the date is being pushed to “around early January” with an official timeline to be announced at the oh too familiar timing of “soon.”
YG himself posted this information on his personal Instagram along with a screen shot of the album cover and, possibly because there is no material prepared to promote the album, a scanned page from iKON’s recent Arena Homme editorial.
iKONICs have expressed disappointment but have as a whole pronounced themselves far from surprised for the following reasons:
1. No pre-sale or even any details at all have been made available since the announcement 2 months ago till now almost a week to the original release date.
2. This is a repeat offence for YGE who even had to reschedule and delay iKON’s debut album.
3. This is YGE. They kind of have a reputation.
iKONICs have decided to turn their disappointment into proactivity by working on streaming iKON videos, “Killing Me” in particular and voting for iKON on end of year awards.
In the absence of information before now iKONICs have also entertained themselves with what we can now consider a tradition of making fan made promotional material to help drum up awareness for iKON’s incoming work during their company’s habitual delays in giving them adequate publicity. Some have even updated their material to reflect the recent news!
iKON meanwhile were booked and busy marking a 2nd date Dome performance at Japan’s Kyrocera today that was reportedly well attended. The busy boys have already flown back to Korea presumably for the SBS Gayo Daejun to take place on the 25th.
iKON will also be appearing at the V HEARTBEAT Year End Party 2018 in Vietnam on the 28th. Let’s keep supporting our best boys all the way!
iKON had a successful comeback yesterday with the release of the Goodbye Road MV and New Kids: The Final mini album at 6PM KST.
(Don’t forget to stream the MV! Our goal is 6M views in 24 hours.)
As for Korea, Goodbye Road debuted comfortably in top #21 of all major charts, raising quickly and steadily every hour until the charts froze at 1AM, achieving #4 on Naver and #1 on all other charts, getting incredibly close to scoring a Realtime All Kill.

With just 2.5 days of charting iKON’s come back title song, Love Scenario managed to grab the top spot today on MCountdown winning against Sunmi whose hit track Heroine was released on January 18th and has also won previously.
It has been two years since iKON won a triple crown at MCountdown with Dumb and Dumber from their debut album Welcome Back.
iKONICs who had managed their expectations due to a number of factors including iKON’s not being present to perform at the studio and therefore forfeiting broadcast points – were ecstatic.
Korea seems to be sharing their excitement as shortly after the hashtag #iKONLoveScenario1stWin trended no 1 in the country!
iKON continues to see unprecedented success with Love Scenario and their album Return and were today officially inducted into the Melon Hall of Fame for accumulating 1.5 million uniques listeners in less than a week.
Congratulations iKON on your 1st win! We hope it is not too greedy to hope for many, many more.
It was announced today that iKON’s rappers Kim Hanbin and Kim Bobby will be special MCs on February 3, Music Core together with RED VELVET’s Yeri.
This is the first time since debut that any member of iKON will be a music show MC.
It seems that iKON’s first venture into world of emcees had garnered a lot of interest.
Both iKON and RED VELVET have had successful comebacks this past weeks and are competing for no.1 place on various music charts. However, many of their fans have interpreted this competition as cute interaction and were hoping for groups to interact in real life as well and not only on charts. Music Core is making their wish a reality.
For the promotion of their new album, Return, iKON has promised to have many activities in Korea as compared to their usual promotion cycles. From recent announcements like these it seems they have every intention of keeping their promise.
The results are coming in for just how much iKONICs miss iKON and the answer is apparently A LOT!
iKON’s 2nd Full Album, “Return” which will be released on January 25th at 6:00pm KST has managed to rise to the top of pre-order charts both in Korea and Internationally.
